Hi there,
I am in the process of setting up my dual Buffalo DACs and would like to know if there would be an advantage in using a spare I2s output on my Minidsp Minishark to feed the 2nd DAC, rather than splitting the data lines to feed each DAC.
In this configuration I will not need to set each Dac up to process 1/2 of the I2s signal and invert the mirror signal, instead I can set each I2s output on the Minishark to send 2xR and 2xL with one channel inverted. I've got plenty of spare processing power with the Minishark to do this and it would surely allow the Buffalo Dacs to have an easier time, with their processing.
Any thoughts if there are any advantages with my idea?

It sounds like the wiring will be easier splitting the signal at the MiniShark. I can't think of a downside to doing so.

That's great. Added bonus for me will also be the ability to test the output levels with the differential channels switched in and out, without having to pull anything apart and mess about with jumpers.
