                [img]null[/img]After a couple of years of flawless operation this morning no music no lock I checked voltages and I get 5.25 volts from PS some LED are lit on little VRs on daughter boards some are not  I get 5.25 vdc between in and gr on tridents and AVCC  Edited by moderator Sunday, November 30, 2014 4:31:48 PM(UTC)

                For sure something is wrong.
 What strikes me is that you apparently has lost multiple tridens along with the AVCC (I don't see any light on that module)
 
 Which environment has this Buf been sitting in? Too hot?
 
 I could imagine a voltage surge above ~6v as the most possible cause. What's the power supply arrangement?

                The Tridents (and possibly AVCC, depending on the version) can withstand 15V input due to the new opamp (better performance closer to 6V though).
 Did you try measuring the output voltage of the Tridents/AVCC?  This will tell us more.
 
 Try removing the firmware chip, AVCC, and input header and see what happens.  Do the Trident LEDs start working again?  Note: You will not get output w/o the AVCC mounted, but we are trying to isolate the cause at this point.
 
 Possibilities: Dead firmware chip causing a short (not too likely, but possible).  Dead AVCC (no LEDs lit).  Dead DAC chip (no idea why).
