Hello friends, I have a buffalo IIISE with IVY III, connected directly to the amplifier (without preamp). I use only output SE and I need to increase the output level to 4V. I do not use balanced output.
What are resistors to be replaced for my configuration?
Is correct R13-16 or R21-24?

Increasing R21-R24 is the way to go.

Curiosity: R13-16 increases the output level balanced and SE?

My question to you - why do you need 4v on SE output ?

The volume control in the DAC buffalo IIISE (potentiometer 5K) is almost to the maximum with the amplifier Sugden au51 (without preamplifier). In this configuration, the amplifier does not release the full power!
What do you recommend?

Look at the corresponding preamp (same page). It says Output : 1 volt (15 max) (don't know what 15 max means, don't care about it) You don't need 4v Are you absolute sure about the output in foobar? Can you do a check with another source? Edited by user Sunday, August 3, 2014 6:39:57 PM(UTC)

Tried it with another amplifier and the level volume is ok. I think the Sugden amplifier is more 750 mV ! I also tried to connect the preamplifier Sugden with the dac and the volume of the preamplifier is ok. The preamplifier is more of 1 volt!
Another question: I also bought Legato I / V and i have yet to assemble. It is better to use the output buffer SE in my configuration or not buffer? what do you recommend?

In my opinion always use the Legato buffer.
As I'm typing, it's playing nice here.

Then you have to use a scope to measure the levels.

thanks for your tips. the manual IVY III talk 2V output. it refers to the outputs voltage balanced or SE?
to me the voltage on the outputs SE seems less 2 volts! what is voltage outputs SE?
