Nevermind, the manual is highly confusing. I thought the USB Receiver could handle 24bit, but I found the answer on this forum for 4 years ago where you indicate that it can only reconstruct 16bit signal without custom USB drivers...Hi everyone, I've got a problem setting 24bit audio on my Opus DAC. Here is the system and how it is hooked up: USB from Computer --> USB Input of USB Receiver USB Receiver set to I2S via Jumper Output of USB Receiver's I2S Header connected directly to the Opus PCM _IN Header via:
- BCK --> BCK
- SCK --> MCK
- LRCK --> LRCK
- DO --> DIN
- GND --> G
The output of the Opus DAC is connected to a Ballsie Lite, which I'm confident has been connected correctly. All voltages have been set to their recommended values (7.5V, etc.) via the proper power supplies. What happens when I plug the USB cable into my computer is that I get only 16-bit options, and I have no option of setting 24bit. Have I wired everything up correctly? Was I not supposed to connect SCK to MCK directly, but instead use a Metronome? I can provide more information if need be. Thank you! Edited by user Saturday, June 7, 2014 7:27:17 PM(UTC)
