Hi,
I'm wondering if placid BP will be stable if the load has only 4.7uF or 9.4uF or 14.1uF film bypass caps.
I am prepared to snubberise these caps if it would help - perhaps 0.1R - 0.2R per cap.
If these cap values are too low, what is the minimum capacitance needed for stability.
many thanks
mike

Generally speaking, shunt supplies are less effective with highly capacitive loads. The lower the better.
