Hello everybody Finally got around to putting all the parts together. Although i believe all the parts work individually, they dont seem to when put together. Parts consist of - B3 - Ivy - Sidecar - Spdif 4 input board - Waveio USB - 2 Placid HD (1 is for Waveio) - 1 Placid HD BP No LED's have been installed yet as it is just on my bench temporarily. These will be put on soon to help troubleshooting. Here are my concerns 1. There is no output 2. Have i implemented the DPST switch to swap between USB and Spdif. (Link to DPST is http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=SP0743) 3. R7 is not installed (should this be?) Details Update firmware - Meaning everything is reversed SW1 1 - On 2 - On 3 - On 4 - On 5 - On 6 - On 7 - On 8 - On SW2 1 - On 2 - On 3 - On 4 - On 5 - On 6 - On 7 - On 8 - Off These figures are while a Laptop is attached playing music to the dac Dac Power = 5.21v Shunt = 29.4mv CCS = 507mv Placid HD BP to IVY + Side Power =15.25 Shunt = 65mv CCS = 139.8mv SE/GND on IVY = .1mv - Side Power = 15.18v Shunt = 63mv CCS = 143mv SE/GND on IVY = .6mv Sidecar VD to GND = 5.17v Waveio (Using additional Placid HD) Power = 4.97v Shunt = 32.8mv CCS = 351.5mv Edited by user Sunday, April 13, 2014 8:10:34 AM(UTC)

I have not look at everything yet, but have you tried a different source? Maybe a single SPDIF?

1. What version of the SPDIF input board is this? 2. You might want to increase the current to the DAC board a bit. 30mA is a bit lean. 3. Like Russ said, removing modules from the setup to pinpoint the problem might help.

The thing is I don't have any spdif sources, what I might do is set it up for usb direct to dac.
I will try this out tonight

Directly connected works, tomorrow I'm going to put it back and start again.
Just knowing the dac itself works makes me very relieved

Look at the lower left corner of spdif input board for version number. By the TP logo. The one pictured is V1_1. Edited by user Monday, April 14, 2014 4:42:30 PM(UTC)

Hi SCompRacer The spdif board is v1.2 and sidecar is also 1.2 I upped the current and switched back to the sidecar and its back to no sound. Would love to see someones dip switches with a similar scenario. I have the updated firmware on an old board. The manual states that everything is opposite, therefore the marking for "On" is in reality "Off"... Is that correct.

Please re-read that section. I clearly state you should only invert the settings if you were using the OLD firmware. Since you are using the NEW firmware you should follow the settings as they are described, NOT invert them.

Well i just figured it.. Pretty embarrassed but i need to let it out.
The switch i was using needed to be pressed in really hard. Even though i could hear the click when pressing down it wasn't activating.
Thanks for the help guys.
