Hi everybody,

I need to increase my dac gain level. Normally I used with transport pc but I tried with transport cd last week and I realized that buffalo dac gain level significantly low.


You can see my dac photo under the page

There are 3 Placid power supplies, 1 single polar for the DAC
section and 2 bi-polar one for
each channel, for the balanced I/V section.

Sorry - I missed your question somehow. Do you have the optional resistors installed on the output stage? (R22-R23 R36-R37)

Sorry I dont know, where are these resistors? At the bottom of pcb?

on the left side resistors value 732 r r49 r50

on the right side resistors value 55y r47 r 48

Looks like 732-ohm resistors, which would put you in the ~1V range.

You can use the chart on page 3 of the Buffalo-32 manual (http://www.twistedpearaudio.com/docs/digital/buffalo32s_manual.pdf) to choose the reisitors you want to use (if any).

If you remove them entirely, you will have about 4V output swing.

I solved this problem. I removed 732 ohm resistor. I have 2v output.
