inputs by mickeyk4, on Flickr

If you look carefully at the picture you'd see that I marked as "D1" the input that is indicated as "IND". The bule and yellow wires are connected to what is indicated as "INB" BUT I get a lock and a signal ONLY when the LED marked as D3 is on.

That's very stanges, when I tried to connet the 4-wire header (on the DAC side) in the oposite direction it "took down" the lights of all the shunt regulators which I interpeted as shorting VD.

The only thing I could think of is that I connected the selector switch the wrong way. I have the "central" bent pin (the pin that prevets the selector from rotating when connect to the enclosure) aligned with the "dot". You can also see how the 4-wire headers are connected in the pictures.

Any explanation would be appriciated.

Thanks,
Mickey.

It is much better to give more context in your pictures. Don't focus on the connectors.

The position of the LEDs may simply be reversed of what you expected.

Hello,
Thanks, attached is a "top view" of the selector.

The marking on the boad say "D3" so I'm not usre what you mean by "The position of the LEDs may simply be reversed of what you expected" and as mentioned above I'm connected the "INB" (as seen in "4-Channel S/PDIF (or AES-EBU) Level Converter Kit" picture).

Hello Russ,

The inputs on the PCB are marked INA through IND.

The input wires are connected to INB which should correlate to D2 on the selector PCB.

The music from INB is played when D3 is tured on, this led me to believe that either the marking on the selector or the "4-Channel S/PDIF" are wrong.

On the last image of the original post I marked in red D1 and D4 in "the right" order which correlates to the one on the two bit-selector.

Mickey.
