Hi there,
I would like to know if it is possible to supply the Placid HD module with a lifepo battery. The full charge battery reaches 10.8 V 10ah and the discharged battery reaches 9V
The main idea is suppling 2 Buffalo 3 SE modules mounted dual mono. The output stage would be done with Lundahl or equivalent transformers.
My main idea is bypassing the diode bridge with the battery?

You could, but the Placid, being a shunt regulator, is not very efficient, so you will be charging your batteries a lot.
The benefit of leaving the diode bridge in place is that you cannot get the polarity backwards. Since they won;t be switching (as they do with AC), the noise from them should be minimal, and would be totally filtered out by the rest of the supply anyway.
