I am thinking of building another Sympatico. The planned speaker is a Thiel CS-3.5, but only from 60 Hz up. Currently using a parallel LM3886 design, Evolution.
Is the Sympatico up to a load that drops below 4 ohms at some frequencies?

It can drive that, but you need to be careful about your total power expectations. As long as you stay withing the limits of the LM4780 you will be fine.
