The settings are done from the dip switches on the B3. These settings had to be set from the firmware chip on the B2. In other words, no you do not need a different firmware chip with the B3.

Ok, but I have Volumite where the chip is installed, not on the BII. It's a special Volumite version prepared for ExaU2I. Maybee it's ok anyway then?
I'm asking becouse I concider buying BIII.
Tnx

There is no Volumite for the B3. What was changed for the Exa? In the guide you can find all DIP switch settings that are available through the default firmware. In most cases a custom firmware will not be required, since a lot of interface settings are directly available (esp. on the BIIISE).

LeonvB: the chip I have on Volumite has higher bandwidth becouse there was a problem with dropouts when playing hirez material. But this seems to been taken care of on the BIII with different settings to choose from. Or am I wrong ? Tnx Edited by user Sunday, March 10, 2013 1:20:06 PM(UTC)

You're not wrong. The DPLL bandwidth is one of the parameters you can set directly on the BIII and BIIISE.
