placid hd-bp to ivy III too hot?

what am I missing? or what can I adjust

is working though for 24 hours

How much current are you shunting?

It is normal for the Placid to run hot, but it will run hotter if you are shutting too much current

I think you're mixing up CCS and shunt currents. Shunting 50-60mA as a maximum should be enough already.

Yes. Aim for 50-60mV.
