Hi,

I aim to place the Buffalo DAC in a chassis with lots of other digital bits and pieces - an Arduino, a miniSparc from miniDSP, Spdif mux, toslink converters, LCD, solid state relays etc.

Would it make sense to power everything of the above except the analog section of the Buffalo DAC with a switching mode power supply, and use a linear power supply for the analog section of the DAC and the output stages?

BTW: Is there an 8-channel balanced IVY stage in the works, or would it be easy to do a custom PCB to get 8 channels on a compact board?

Martin

Yes, 8 channel IVY board is in the works. :)

Yes you can separately power the analog stages. The GNDs will always be common.
