Recieved Buffalo DAC, IVY & bi-polar power supply the 16th of May.

A resistor on the bi-polar ps got hot when everything powered up. Problem caused by my use of one dual secondary transformer for
both the low current bi-polar (LCBPS) and the low current dual (LCDPS) power supplies. As Russ pointed out to me, this caused a
short between the two supplies.

Resolved that problem and discovered an intermittent problem.
One day unit would play later that day when turned back on it
would not play. On one occasion when it did not play I gave the
SABRE+IVY stack a sharp tap with my finger nail and it played.
Russ pointed out a possible loose wire or a dry solder joint.
Not sure I have found the bad joint but it has been playing
for two days without a glitch so far.

So, how does it sound? With a CD source i.e. 16bit, I would
say it resolves finer details (micro dynamics). Instrumental tone
& cymbal fine details come through better.

I have yet to impliment my second OPUS dac for dual mono, so
I can't comment on that. However, the SABRE is a step up from
single ended output of an OPUS without an IVY/BALLSIE.
