I have completed/working B3. Excellent sound by the way. Thanks guys.

Can one add DSD capability. Will the DAC be automatic and sense the signal?

What needs to be done?

Is there a USB card I can use directly? Currently using Offramp 3 which will not accommodate DSD. (24/96 max)

Thanks,

Jeff

Thanks Russ,

I now play music off a NAS through a mac mini (pure music) which is usb output through offramp which has coax spdif output to the B3. Offramp won't handle more than 24/96. B3 has no usb input. Any ideas?

A good inexpensive solution is the Amanero USB board. http://amanero.com/

It's not very flashy, but it works well. :)

There is not much help at the Amanero web site and looking at the USB model schematic I am not seeing an obvious way to connect to the BuffIIse
Is there any info on how to hook this up

It´s easy. Only four wires.

Gnd-----gnd
DCK-----BCLK
D1------FSCLK
D2------DATA

Well - since XMOS just came out with a new chip that I will be using - it will likely be at least a couple months until we are ready to release. Just trying to give the best info I can.

Russ ( or anyone )

I'm really dumb when it comes to this stuff, but I would like to put a BIII together in the future. Will the BIII decode the new DSD over USB protocol using your proposed new USB receiver ?

Thanks, Crazy Bill
