Hi There,
I have a Buffalo III DAC in stereo configuration with the Legato 3.1 output stage.
Can I use the legato single ended and balanced outputs at the same time, connected to diferent amplifiers?
I am thinking about Bi-amping, using SE output for an amplifier for woofers, and Balanced output for another amp for mid and highs.
Any problem doing this?
Best, Carlos

Hi Ed,
Thanks for confirming this. I think this can be a very cool feature for bi-ampling. I was giving up with bi or tri ampling because I reached the conclusion that "less is better", in the way that doesnt make sense to have 2 dacs and two amps, probably better to have one that is better and more expensive. but now, using the same DAC, looks like a perfect oportunity to test a very low power single ended triode in the mid-highs and use anything else in the woofer.
This tube amplifier is arriving in february and will have good quality transformers to transform the balanced signal to single ended for the triodes.
Best, Carlos
