Out of interest, will you have any spare PCBs for sale?

Hi all,

For dual-mono I have the address jumper closed on the left channel
with the r. chan. open. The hifiarduino code assigns the addresses
for each dac when the dual-mono is uncommented. I'm planning
on sticking with the TPA anti-phase also.

Since arduino will send addressing assignment at startup to each
dac on the I2C bus, will leaving the left channel jumped hurt anything
or is it over ridden by the program?

The one other detail is to build a 3-way daisy-chained I2C line along with
the rest of the wiring.

Should be fun.

/Mike

Well, i`m not goings to use more then one for my own dac, so i could sell the spare PCBs after testing them. I do not think it is a good idea to sell them on this forum. Brian and Russ will probably be not to happy about this. Please contact me through my website. CE-Designs.

Arduino is not assigning the addresses. You have to set the address of each dac by using the jumpers. Do it like explained on page 25 of the intergration guide. When you have done this the left dac has the address 0x90 and the right dac 0x92.

Thanks for clearing that up Corpius, so I'm good to go there and
don't need to touch the jumpers for address on the DACs.

I already bought an arduino mega. I'm watching progress with great interest.
I already bummed bigpanda's code off him yesterday. And the libraries from
Mr. Karlson. The code is intimidating to a person like me. I know enough C

Hi Mike,

This code thing has beaten me up pretty good. No amount of how smart I am in other things will absolve me from the helplessness I feel about the code...lol Lots of frustration. Corpius has been a great help. I was ready to go back to dipswitches and manual control.

bigpanda is using Ian's FIFO multiple input board IIRC. Corpius is using a Twisted Pear 4 channel SPDIF input board with Sidecar like I have. Corpius's code works! I just need to test it with more than one input connected to make sure the DAC still works and locks. For now I am going to live with the 4x20 LCD and may even stay with it.
