Hey!

I have had the original Opus DAC running with I2S USB for many years now, really love it.

I am wondering about getting it to work with an optical input, so I can move it away with an Airport express. Is it as simple as ordering the S/PDIF 4:1 MUX/Receiver and a TOSLINK Module?

I have this vague memory of reading that the original OPUS couldn't handle optical input, but I am not sure where I read that.

Any tips much appreciated!

Tomas

It's that simple. You could also use the S/PDIF Transceiver if you only want one S/PDIF input. You could then switch I2S (USB or S/PDIF) with an OTTO-II.
