I am figuring out the Opus right now, and how to best power it. It looks like there are four supplies: 3 5V analog supplies, and one 3.3V digital supply. I am thinking the best way to power this would be with three 5V regs, and one 3.3 reg, by pulling the inductors and putting the new regs output at the inductors (L1-4) pads.
I have some nice little 5V jobs I built using a design from John Swenson which should work well, and a spare, v 1.1 Trident for the 3.3 volt supply.
Any reason I should not try the above config, or do I have anything wrong?

One other question, where should I look to find details for using the Volumite with the Opus? I am especially interested in what happens with the hardware (dip switches) control: can I still use the dip switches to control the OSR, FSEL, and DSD with the volumite in place?

There is no reason you couldn't use the regs if you understand what you are doing - which I think you do. :)

Look at the WM8741 datasheet.
