Hi! Soldered the LCDPS today and it works great! The Opus DAC and Receiver are up runnning: LEDs are red, red, green and red when no signal, and all turn green when transport is running, I guess all is OK so far ... I have 2,46-2,47 volt at coupling caps but 0 V at output terminals and no sound ... Strange ... Just a matter of resoldering the terminals? Johan

Hi Russ! No ... Unfortunately not ... The Mute switch is open (in the middle) ... I will have a further look tomorrow on this, it's bed-time over here ... Thanks! Have a nice evening! Johan

Hi again! I have tried several things today (resoldered some points, tried various output caps etc.) but I still have the same problem ... Some preliminaries: I am not using both signals, just the minus on each side. On the receiver board I use the SPDIF_in, and its DOUT to DIN on DAC board (what is the DIN on receiver board for, BTW?). Switch settings on receiver board are +, -, -, and +, and on DAC board +, -, -, -, +, -, and o, o, o. As before when no signal, all leds are red except NON-Audio, and all turn green when transport sends signal ... I have about 2.5 volt between + and - on output cap, about 2.5 volt between + on output cap and board terminal, about 2.5 volt between + on output cap and off board connector. However from - on output cap I don't get any voltage anywhere afterwards ... I'm not sure what the problem is ... Best! Johan

I assume you also connected the the I2S clocks and gnd between the boards, along with DOUT to DIN...

Brian (or Russ)! Which of the clocks do I connect? On the DAC board there are BCK, MCK, LRCK, and on Receiver board BCK, SCK, LRCK... All of them? Johan

Yup. All 5 connections from the DAC board to the matching (in order) connections on the receiver board. MCK=SCK. The DIN connection on the S/PDIF receiver is used when you want to use the board as an S/PDIF transmitter. You can leave that one empty. Edited by user Sunday, April 6, 2008 3:47:27 PM(UTC)

Hi again! Thanks Brian! Thanks Russ! The missing digital connections were the problem. Opus is now working! Great! Next project waiting, the COD! And I'm doing what you advice your customers, enjoying! Best from Stockholm! Johan
