Hi,

Is it possible to replace FJPF1943 with FJA4213? = which fairchild suggest as the replacement.
It is a package TO-3P which should just fit in the specified heatsinks and some careful pin bending.

http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/FJ/FJA4213.pdf.

Only ask because the FJPF1943 is difficult to get now/ outside US.
If not I will just wait until a big mouser order is required.

Best Regards,
Lucas, UK

Just about any good power transistor with the same pin-out will work fine. If it is an un-isolated type just be sure to use a proper isolator. Try to keep the HFE > ~80. The more the better.
