This is my last project. Cuadruple Buffalo III whith large display, USB by EAX Devices, and I2S imput over HDMI cable by K&K adapter. Also have two coaxial imputs, and tow bypass.

For controlling, I modified Hifiduino code to support four Buffalo whith I2S multiplexer from DDS Circuits. For this task, I use Arduino Mega. Can also choose imput whith remote control. The switching between three I2S source is done through three 74LVC125.

Regards from Madrid, Spain.

Thank you all for the comments.

Yesterday, a group of friends we compared dual mono versus quad mono.

The conclusion was unanimous, four chips better than two.

Hi
Great work. What CD transport or I2S output are you connecting to send board?, i believe the adapter you use works the same way as teleporters but with HDMI. Can you connect receiver board to sidecar? directly on Buffalo? I dont have Arduino.

- better in what sense? Sounds better (in what aspects)? Measures better (in what aspects)? Looks better? Takes more wiring? Could you decipher your info?
Did you try to use separate PSUs with separate transformers to provide [potentially] better supplies for a single DAC chip instead? Different regulators?

Thanks,
Alex.

Hi,

Can you give more details about your setup ?
I noticed 2 I/V stages, does that mean you are using a bi-amp system ? In case of bi-amp, do you have any digital crossover before the DACs ?
How did you manage the 1:4 I2S mux ? Do you have any link about that hardware ?

Thank you
By the way, you setup is a great work !
