Hallo, I ran into a problem today. There is no sound coming out of my Legato3.1/BIII anymore. I used the Buffalo DAC yesterday, left it on over the night and today it is broken. The voltages at the placid PB HD are +14V and -2.2V, so there is clearly something malfunctioning. When i disconnect the Legato from its powersupply I read +14V/-14V at the Placid-output, as it should be. This indicates that the Legato is the problem here. The DAC Voltages are fine with 5.25V. All trident-Lights are on. Has anyone an idea where I should start to track down the problem? Thanks for any help Update: Now the Voltages at the Placid output seem to be normal again. Both at around +-14V. Music is also playing again. I think I remember that I had this issue before. Anyone knows what this could be? Edited by user Thursday, May 31, 2012 7:50:03 PM(UTC)

Check the PB HD if the shunt current is high enough for both sides (>50mA).
If ok, check both the PB HD and the Legato for shorts, solder splashes, loose connections etc.
Use the back of a screwdriver to softly tab the PCB on several places to find bad connections.
Hope this helps.

Sound like you Placid HD-BP may simply have gotten a bit too warm?
