Hi,

Would it be possible to use a delay protection kit to eliminate a on-switch pop without degrading the signal?

I'm thinking of using this kit for this purpose. I'm waiting for my DAC to arrive but I've read somewhere that this IV stage has no output coupling caps. My amplifier (Hypex Ncore) has no input coupling caps. This gives a little pop when powering the DAC according to somebody who is also using this DAC in combination with the Hypex NCores. So a small delay would eliminate this problem right?

I also read some where on this forum that the pop in some cases could be traced down to the power switch. So would a 1 uf WIMA MKP10 400V cap be alright for breaking both live and ground to prevent a pop coming from the switch?

I have not experienced these pops. DC-offset on the outputs is very low.

But is it true that the IVY I/V stage has no output coupling caps?
If it is, then wouldn't this be harmful for my speakers if there was accidentally by any reason some DC-offset on the outputs?

Output coupling caps are needed to block DC-offset on the outputs. If the offset is sufficiently low, you do not need them.
