Last night I ordered the BIII for a m-ch build (my 1st DIY). I'll do digital x/o and room correction in software. Most (or all) sources are from PC.
My question is: Is the exaU2I the only way to get m-ch from PC, or could I alternatively use a RME HDSPe AES or Lynks etc high-end sound card into B-III? NOTE: If possible, I would like to do DSD.
If sound card option works, what is my connection type from card to B-III.
Thanks in advance!! |

My suggestion would be an Asus card with a set of Teleporter modules.

Hi Thanks for the reply Im not understanding how this would be multi-channel (but Im new here) Wouldn't this just take a 2-ch feed from the single s/pdif out on the Asus into 2-ch on the B-III? How does this become m-ch? What am I missing?
Or are you saying by using the converter, I somehow can transmit high resolution m-ch from the asus into multiple ch on the B-III.
Would you explain in a little more detail?
Thanks |

You're missing the I2S output header on the Xonar cards.
