I'm considering building an EHHA Rev. A headphone amp and I would like to use the Joshua Tree for volume control.
The only problem is that the output impedance of my source is about 630 ohms. From my understanding this doesn't work well with the Joshua Tree's input impedance.
What is the best solution for this?

Isn't it possible to use other value resistors?
Which buffer would you recommend?
