I want a Dac that is 8 channel, will do 24/196 and DSD from USB or firewire and can be powered by D/C. Will the Dac do all that and if so what parts do I need, also any suggestion on upgrades would also be appreciated Please keep it simple as I'm new to all this.javascript:insertsmiley('d'oh!%20','/forum/images/emoticons/eusa_doh.gif')

Check:
- 8 channel
- 24/192
- DSD
Forget:
- Firewire
In the future:
- USB (you'll have to wait longer for 8 channel support)

So does that mean the USB will do 24/196 and DSD now, but not in 8 channel at this time but in the future it will be available. Thanks for info.

The new USB module will not do 8 channel right away, that's pretty much confirmed. You'll have to wait to see if TPA will release an 8-channel version.
If you want to use DSD soon you could use the Teleporter module, it shouldn't be too hard to feed the DAC DSD from your PC. Parts and suggestions can be found in the guide.
