Sent 5v from 4:1 LED selector switch to "B" on sidecar, no luck with switching the sidecar PCM relays. Jumpered "B" to VD and read 5v across diode in parallel with relays......I cant believe 3 relays would be bad. Orientation is correct, checked Omron datasheet to make sure. Bad sidecar? I could try jumping 5v straight to relay but it shouldnt be any different than going to terminal. This is the same relay as the Legato which is clearly audible when its activated. Dont pay attention to the VD-GND wires, that was temporary when I tried to externally power when checking relays Edited by user Thursday, January 12, 2012 11:12:12 AM(UTC)

One possible reason is that the relays are the 24VDC version... Just opened my sidecar, and found that mine were 24VDC not 5VDC as indicated on the bag. I think I can read 24 on your pic as well.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, there are probably a few of you with 24V relays. Please send me a PM or email with "24V" in the subject. I will get the correct relays out to you asap. Edited by user Thursday, January 12, 2012 3:02:07 PM(UTC)

AAAAAHHHHHHH is right!!!!!!
I would of never thought!!!
Its plain as day, 24V
I don't think that's an easy task to desolder a double sided board. Can you send me a new board and I'll send the old one back.

To remove them, just crush each relay with a pair of pliers. The pins will then come right out with a touch of the iron.
I use the 24V relays on the Legato and IVY. This was a late night kitting error. Sorry.

Okay, that worked Seems you have to destroy the parts to get them out of these boards Once the pins are out, the solder sucks out well
