Just a few product updates... - Pre-orders for the Buffalo-III DAC are continuing to open up every few weeks. I am trying to get away from the "countdown" model, as I think it causes a rush and makes it harder for people to order. There are also more available in each batch. - A new single-channel version of the S/PDIF Level Converter is available on the Buffalo-III page. - The new Teleporter module will be available soon. This is a great way to transmit DSD or PCM (I2S) signals over a distance and also gain galvanic isolation between source and DAC. One key application is getting the DSD signals out of your SACD player and directly into the DAC. For those interested in PC audio, the ASUS XONAR multichannel PC sound cards provide easy access to a 7.1 surround I2S feed via a 25 way header that connects to its daughter board.
The Teleporter will also provide an easy way to implement high quality surround sound audio from a PC.

David F, Do you know the I2s pinouts for the Xonar?

The connector is also on the Xonar Essence ST which seems to have better available in the US.

Yes I do the daughterboard connector is a standard 26 way with one pin blocked to ensure correct orientation If you look at the board from behind facing up and treat the pins on the daughterboard connector as being numbered as follows (note that this is probably NOT using the standard pin numbering for such a header): 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 NC 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 Then the relevant outputs are: 05) digital power supply (Vdd) 17) BCK 18) LRCK 19) DATA (L+R) 20) DATA 21) DATA 22) DATA I can't remember off the top of my head which of 20, 21, 22 is C+SW or SL+SR or SCL+SCR, but they are indeed the relevant pins. Simple trial and error should suffice. Also, you will have to ground pins 10 and 12 in order to trick the XONAR into thinking the daughter board is actually attached - otherwise it will only output stereo. Enjoy!
