...let me make sure I have the correct model. d'oh!

I need a bipolar (+/-)15vdc supply that have a load of <100mA. I assume the LCBPS along with one 30VA (15v) transformer is all I need. Also, I assume for this application, spending more for the robust Placid HD bipolar supply would be overkill or would there be any advantage? I plan to use this for a preamp.

The LCBPS should work well. For that load you wouldnt need anything close to 30VA transformer though.

The main benefit by choosing a Placid is the lower noise it provides since it is shunt regulated. But the LCBPS is very good and will probably be a safer/easier choise.
