Hello,

Is it possible to connect one buffalo II board to both a ivy 3 and a legato 3.1 at the same time?

I would say it is possible, but not in stereo mode.

It could work if you connect ivy3 to one channel and leggato31 to the other one.

No not really. Unless you want to use one channel of each as the previous poster said. :)

What if I have them both connected but only supply power to one at a time?

Let's look at the problem from different perspective.

You want to compare which output stage sounds better, right?

Do the blind test. Ask someone to install one of the ivy or legato.
Then take it home and listen to it one week without looking inside.
Then give DAC to that person again to swap output stage and listen the music for another week.

Then would you know which one is better.

And if you will be still undecided, you can sell legato and enjoy the music with ivy.
