I learned from the Buff3 manual, that a 75ohm resistor of it's mux was replaced by a 10K resistor. In this way reducing the TTL level of the Toslink to S/PDIF.
Should I do the same when I connect the a Toslink to the "old" Mux AES-input correcting its level?
I did bridge R7, as stated in the Buff2 manual, but left the 48ohm resistor untouched.
Please enlighten me...

Quite simply TTL sources don't like to see a 75ohm. They would have to source way too much current. Se when using TTL we suggest 10K so as to provide some termination while not overloading the TTL source.

The resistor here does not reduce the TTL level at all, the comparator does just as well with TTL levels as it does with consumer SPDIF levels.
