I had this working with a buffalo II for about a year and it was working fine. Recently just added tridents to the BII and tried adjusting the placid for additional output by shorting R5 and tweaking R8 to .5.

When connecting to the B2/tridents however, I kept getting vdroop down to 3.2V or so and BII lights/tridents were dim. Checking R3 showed nothing shunted so it looks like it just wasn't supplying enough power. I couldn't get the Placid to produce any more current for some reason. I even tried adjusting R8 up to .7, but got the same result.

All the lights come on no problem.

I think I have another problem now in that VR2 broke from too much turning so it's completely dead. I can fix this easily enough, but any ideas why I couldn't get enough current out of the Placid?
