Would it be ok to use 1200 uf. Panasonic M at the output or is it to much ?

Placid is designed to be stable into capacitance, but you should know that it actually makes it harder for the regulator to work optimally. This is because of inductance reactance from the load. It would be better to stay below 100uf or so.

Which one? You talking about the Legato 3.1 etc?

In any case it will be perfectly stable. Certainly 300uf is just fine. :)

Really I was just saying what the theoretical optimal value is. The shunt devices are a CFP so its actually less critical on the placid then say on a Trident.

Even 1200uf would work pretty well. Just making it work harder than it really has to.

Cheers!

Nice ! :d/ I will listen to different solutions. I will try 220 uf Nx Black Gate ! First of all I will listen to it as it is. On the output of the Trident for Avcc I use 47 uf. Nx High Q Black Gate and 100 Nf High Q. The ceramics are removed.

Sorry, yes I took I for granted Erlend was talking analogue boards, since the topic is "Placid Dual Power Supply"
