I am a newbie just getting started and got all my kit parts today. I need to order casework, as well as chassis connectors, etc. but that's down the road. Right now I am wondering what I need to pick up for hook up wiring within the different modules? Do I need anything exotic or what do you all recommend? What gauge should be used between say, power supply and Dac board, and Buffallo III and IV Stage?

Thanks for any recommendations you might have. I plan this to be the first of many DIY builds in the future, including a Tube Amplifier for my Guitar.

If you have any forum recommendations dealing with build issues that would be great as well.

Thanks for your help in advance
Regards,

Cat 5 is cheap and good. You can use it for both signal and your 5/12/15V DC power. If you want to spend a bit more money, you could get yourself some very thin (30awg) solid core, pure copper for signal wire. For any digital signal connection, use proper 75ohm wires.

Yes, Cat5 (the solid type you typically find in the trash when an office building is being renovated :-)). Easy to strip, twist, solder, etc. The cat 5 in patch cable should work, but it is not as easy to work with.

75ohm is not a standard for all digital connections, only for S/PDIF.

I agree with the above posts, but if you have some wire hanging around, it will probably work fine.

Yes, I should have been more specific.
