Hi Russ, Brian,

Since you're the masters of the ES9018, could you please help me out with this?

As you know, I'm using the Tube-I-Zator I/V stage directly from the DAC output. I'm using it in dual mono balanced mode and I have already paralleled the DAC outputs.

On the schematic below, I'm using 56R has R I/V but would like to know if according to you this would be the optimal value for a 12AX7 tube

Below is the board trace layout

Hope you can help on this.

Right now with 56R it works just fine using the volumite but at low and mid levels. When too high, the instruments starts to get all mashed up together and the bass become annoying. This value was optimized for a TDA-1541 DAC.

Let me know if you have any questions

Thanks

I would try a lower value say 21-32R. I would start low and only increase value if you need more voltage swing.

Please let us know your results. I have only tried the 56R value in the slots. I'm interested in your results. Thanks.

I have just ordered four TX-2575 resistors and I should receive them in about three weeks... I will let you know the outcome.

Thanks

Any news on this yet? I am definately interested as I would agree that the bass becomes muddy when you leave the DAC on for a few hours. I am wondering what resistor value you ordered? Thanks again Do.
