Hi,

I'm currently using external clock source for BuffaloII, therefore 3.3v trident for XO is being unused.
If I could tweak 3.3v trident in order to get 1.2v output voltage, it would be well suitable for my another project.

Will simply changing smd resistor value same as 1.2v trident work? Think

Just out of curiosity, what clock are you using then?

22.5792mhz/24.576mhz directly or 90.3168mhz/98.304mhz (multiplying 22.5792m/24.576m by 4) from SDtrans384 transport.

Thus, there's one clock source between transport and DAC.

Hm... this sounds like a plain and simple DPLL clock, I doubt the phase noise at the BII board will be lower than that of the on-board clock. But using the same clock on the transport as the DAC has it's strong points.

Back to your question: you could try changing R8 to 1.47KΩ. From the looks of it R8 sets the output voltage.

It would.

One thing to remember about the ES9018 is that its output is only as jitter free as its master clock.

Using a synchronous signal from an external source is perfectly fine, and works quite well, but that clock had better be pure. :) And I mean as close to perfect as you can manage. :)

Thanks Leon, Russ
I found two different SMD resistor values between 3.3v and 1.2v tridents.

3.3v R3=104(100k ohm) R8=1471(1.47k ohm)
1.2v R3=1471(1.47k ohm) R8=104(100k ohm)

I will try to change R3 and R8.

Russ,

any suggested values for 2.5v?

Thanx
