My 1,2V Trident suddenly died after been working for 6 - 8 month without been turned off. Input was 5,45V and out from trident measured 0V (both diodes was working). I took everything appart and checked the soldering. Put everything back and it was working again. After 3 hours the voltage started to flucuate (0,8V up to 1.18V) and BII had problem to lock input signal. Any ideas? Do I need to go back to the BII onboard regulators to get stable regulators? Sad, because the BII with the Trident is really an outstanding product! Edited by user Tuesday, July 19, 2011 11:35:23 AM(UTC)

Too many unknowns here, it is just as likely not an issue with the trident at all. What is going on prior to and after them?
Certainly a good test would be to try the on-board reg for a bit, and test the trident in isolation.

Constant and unchanged voltage in to Trident but close to 0V out after some time (still constant input). But ok, stranger things have happen. Which load should you suggest I use for the Trident when stand alone? Kind regards

I powered the BII upp again still with the Trident attached. This time I couldnt get it working at all (But the 2 green diodes was bright green).
I added a bead instead of the Trident and YES it worked. Now playing sweet music again..:d/
I will let it stay on now to see if something happens with the power supply.
Kind regards

The BII still plays sweet music after 24 hour with the onboard reg (1,2V). The two 3,3V regs is still the Trident. I quess my first analysis was correct. It was the Trident that suddenly stopped working. The question is still why. Edited by user Thursday, July 21, 2011 3:34:08 AM(UTC)
