I am thinking of using an LCDPS as a bias supply for a
tube preamp. I can think of a couple of issues. I can
tolerate a little bit of noise as it will be biasing a
cathode follower stage and there will be no gain boosting
the noise. I also thought that, because the biasing itself
will draw virtually no current, that it might be wise to load
the supply with a resistor to draw a small optimal current.
Is there an optimal ma. amount that makes the supply work
best (quiet and stable)?

Finally, I expect the initial bias to be around 18 volts.
What is the highest power transformer voltage I should use
for adjustment around that target voltage?
