It`s made off wood and sound marvellous. After a while I decide to give it a facelift. I ended up with 12 mm aluminum plate in front, and change the color from brown to dark on the wood part.

I wanted to get the brushed alu look on the front. This started a thinking prosess on how to do it myself. At last I came up with and solution.

Brushed alu looks fine, but I have a love for Black on hifi gear. I still like the effect the brushing have on the front plate.

Last pic for now. More to come later this week, if I`m lucky. The Buff isn`t quite finished yet. The best is still to come.
Stay tuned

Looks great! Have you done the metalwork yourself??

Er på jakt etter en god/billig kilde for al-plater i Norge, har du noen tips?

He he,, that was Mr Leif Christensen, a great jobb.

Since you took care of the inside, I thought I could do some cosmetic changes on the outside.

Pics later today when I`m home from work.

Hello Stein

I have done the metalwork myself. If you want alu in front of your dac, look for a mecanical firm who work with this stuff. They`can cut it the way you want. Then its just to find a design you like, and drill the different holes.

god luck

One advice - never put the Buffalo model number on the front panel as this means that a new model will come out in short time ;-)
