Hello guys,
I need some help with this. I was adjusted the negative part of the placid BP (at the positive everything worked fine). After finishing with the adjustment of the VR3 (and the output measurement was -15,4V) I was turning the screw of VR1 in order to achieve the 0,25V at R1. Suddenly when my DMM was showing 0,18V the D6 simultaneously went from green to orange and back to green. The output went to -10V and I can’t adjust it no matter how much I turned the VR1 and the VR2.
The two heat sinks of the negative part went to cold. I removed the power from the placid BP and I measured the resistance through the VR1 …1,7MΩ! After I turned the VR1 it goes to 1MΩ and I was at the end of turning (where should be 20Ω max). The only problem is the VR1 and I must replace it or I should check something else?

You can pretty easy test it. Grab a 20R resistor and place it where VR1 should be. See if you can shunt current. I think you're are good to go with a new pot.

The problem was the VR1. I bought one from a local store, I replace it and everything worked fine.
Thanks!
