Hey guys,

I was thinking of putting together a DAC to run through my Cambridge 550A amplifier.

I was looking at the Opus as a base and I was wondering whether I should run it through a Ballsie or whether an IVY-III or Legato would be a better fit.

Lastly, any suggestions as to a good chassis for this that would be available in Australia?

Thanks!

Dont bother with the ivy/legato, they are for current out dac like the buff.

Since you are using an opus, it is voltage out, so its already going thru an opamp. So either get the ballsie (hint the opus/legato both use their built in ballsie for balanced to unbalanced conversion) if you want a simple opamp, or look at the new ventus if you want more horsepower and a more discrete conversion.
