Does the Legato 2 onboard Bal/SE stage tolerate common mode DC offset?

or will it blow up or distort if I bypass C5-C8? I was thinking to try summing using the onboard Bal/SE stage and do Bal/SE-conversion with a Ventus in my dual-mono setup. I'm currently using two Ventus for summing to get balanced out but as I would like to try with a SE load I would need to add a third Ventus.... or try another way. Cheers, Nic

It will work just fine, just keep in mind that there will also be some differential offset. That it will pass right on through.

Will the differential off-set be enough to harm a Ventus or will the Ventus also just flow through to my power-amp? It seem it will be safe to test (initially - with a set of caps on the outputs) so thank you very much for the answer. Cheers, Nic

You *should* be ok with Ventus, because you could actually trim out the DC there. Just test it without a load and you should be safe.
