Hi,
I intend to use the + half of Placid BP v.2.1.2 for powering Buffalo II. Adjusting VR2, I can only get a maximum of .228v across R2.
Russ & Brian, can you provide some suggestion on part changes so that this v.2.1.2 regulator will output > 350ma. Thanks.
(I happen to buy the wrong board to power the Buffalo II, but I think this Placid BP can be made to work.)

One possibility would be to use a ~4V zener (property oriented opposite of the LED) in place of D5. Or even just two LEDs in series.

Thanks for the couple of suggestions.
My electronics is limited, but I thought there might be some with D5. Adjusting VR2 to get the max output (228ma), D5 LED goes very dim or maybe off. Since my inital posting, I have tinkered changing R12 from 2k to 1.3k. I am able to get .350v across R2 with room to spare (able to get more current output with further VR2 adjustments). D5 LED is still dim/off, but the Placid BP is supplying 5.5v, 300ma with 50ma shunting across R14.
Question: Should I abandon the R12 change and pursue one of your suggestions ? Presently, I am concern about stressing any of the components, and compromising the circuit performance you have design. Thanks again. Henry
