after noticing some strange heat from the LCBPS I found out that I wired it wrong between the LCDPS and the IVY with + and - being swapped over. yet there was no sound coming out from the left channel and some strange hum in the right channel after I fixed it.
Was there anything wrong with the IVY? how to check if it is still ok?
Im finishing my balanced b22 so perhaps the reason is not because of the IVY.
Thanks.

Check it in isolation. Check current draw, and if appears to be shorted at the inputs. Also check output voltages.

It could indeed be dead.

I checked the stepped attenuator and saw a resistor broke off, after resoldering it the k1000 is now dead silence, no hum on both channels any more.
but one thing I noticed was that there was some very faint music when a song is played, so faint that I might have failed to notice it.
you want me to check current draw of what? for the input there is no short.
