hello
finally Tridents on my Buffalo II are glowing and all is well
had to short R6 on Pacid 2.0 to get enough current
very impressive and substantial improvement in sound for a ridiculous amount of $:
more solid with better bass "foundation"
richer tone and harmonics
much better 3D and ability to see deeper into soundscape
well done!
highly recommended!
best

I agree they are a substantial improvement over the standard on-board regulators. I've had mine running since thursday evening, luckily I had the newer 2.0.1 with the lower resistance pots in place. There was no problem going to 500mA and even slightly beyond that figure.

Agreed, a definite step up, highly recommended. I will have to think about improving case ventilation or changing out to a LCDPS for the Buffalo to reduce heat.

Tridents received and installed. Yes I am pleased with the sound. The slight sibilance that was in Natalie Merchant voice in the somewhat compressed "Leave Your Sleep" is now gone. The presentation is smoother, more relaxed. Bass is firmer and more defined. More hifi juice...

Thanks once again.

Now on to building up the Legato2...oh, and that remote project...but all I realy want to do is listen to music...
