Hi,
Is there a longer replacement plastic shaft available for the volumite or a DIY solution to extending it a few cms? Because of the depth of the knob I'm using and the thickness of the plate that it is mounted to, I am unable to get my volume knob to mount to the volumite shaft.

I can look around for a longer replacement that will fit the board footprint, but IIRC the only one I could find before didn't have the bushing for mounting.
Typically, a recess it created in the front of the panel for the knob, so that the effective panel thickness is reduced. Alternatively, a recess could be created on the rear of the panel for the Volumite to fit into.

I had mine CNCed from both front and back. The frontplate was 10mm thick, and to get a good looking front it's best to have the knob recessed anyway. Both sides were done 4mm deep, so at the knob the panel is now 2mm.
