The Wolfson data sheet indicates the possibility to make a dual mono DAC using two of their chips, one for each channel. They claim a better SN ratio as the primary advantage for this configuration. If such an approach was used with the OPUS DAC, I would assume two separate DAC boards would be needed and two "ballsie" boards as well. The question is: do you also need two SPDIF boards for this? and what in terms of power supplies? Is a single LPS board and one transformer capable of feeding all of these boards?

This configuration is supported (see this one: Fierce Freak's Dual Mono Opus). You only need one S/PDIF module. [Note: I might make the dual-mono set a separate option on the order page as there seems to be interest.] While the "ballsie" could use an LCPS, we are actually making a split rail supply (shared ground) for it that has the same footprint, so can be stacked. The "ballsie" is stereo, so one module will suffice.
