Hi, I have a couple of questions

1) concerning the placid, I've set the output to 5.5V but have not been able to set current any higher than 230mV when VR1 is maxed at 206ohms. When connected to Buffalo II the output sags to 5.0V. I measure 10.9V across C1 from a 25VA 9x9 transformer. I'm guessing I could change VR1 to a larger pot but if anyone has other ideas to solve or identify the problem I would much appreciate it.

2) concerning the placid BP, Output set to +/-15V, R1/R1 245mV, but when connected to IVY III R1/R2 it barely changes(230mV) and R13/R14 are measuring 120mV or so. The manual indicates there should be about 50mv on the shunt. Is there an issue with the IVY? Thanks in advance for any comments or advice.

I added a 180R in series with VR1 and was able to adjust to 350mV. When connected to the load (BufII) there was no voltage sag. After tweaking the shunt current to 60mA the output current is about 320mA. I have music playing now and will connect it to my main system to evaluate. However I am still wondering if one of the placid components is out of spec necessitating the increase in VR1 and if so which one is the likely culprit.

After further perusing in this forum I see that Russ had also advised that reducing R5 to 4.7R or short (on placid v2.01) can also increase potential current.

I was wondering if R8 and R3 can be removed and shorted after setting desired output?
Also, how strict are the values for R6 (2K) and R4 (75R)? I wanted to try other resistors such as 2.2K and 50R.
