Hello
I have recently received the Buffalo 2 dac with vol control and PSU. I am planning to use this dac with the Welborne Labs CATO modules with tube o/p stage ( I have it from a previous project). This can be configured as a differential passive i/v stage with gain ranging from unity to 20db.
I wanted to find out what will be the best value of i/v resistor to get an output of 2v rms. I can use a small value (<=50R) with the CATO gain set in the range of approx 20db or use a high value (>=200R) with the CATO gain set to unity/6db.
Is the value of the i/v resistor critical using it with the Buffalo dac in stereo configuration.
Thanks
